Shipping Policy
ORDERING CONDITIONS
You must be twenty-one years of age to purchase wine from OWC. In submitting your order, you represent that you are at least twenty-one years old and that the person to whom delivery will be made is at least twenty-one years old. Adult signature is required for the receipt of all orders placed with OWC. If you cannot be present for the reception of your package and choose to waive the signature requirement be aware that by doing so you take full responsibility for any mishap since we (you, OWC, the shipping company and the carrier) lose all legal recourse in case of damage or loss of the package. An alternate shipping address where an adult will be able to sign for the reception of the package is a better solution.
All wines are sold in California and title passes to the buyer in California. We make no representation to the legal rights of anyone to ship or import wines into any state outside of California. The buyer is solely responsible for shipment of wines. By placing an order, you authorize us to act on your behalf to engage a common carrier to deliver your wine order. Our fulfillment house will deliver in all states where it is legal for an adult to purchase wine. Deliveries will be handled through Fedex or alternate carriers (UPS, DHL, etc...).
Shipments to MA and PA require air freight beyond 4 bottles and will incur a surcharge as well as HI and AK.
SHIPPING AND SAVING
We use recycled corrugated cardboards as shipping containers or styrofoam when required by the weather conditions. For an optimal utilization of resources please order preferably 3, 6 or 12 bottles (However 1, 2 and 4-bottle containers are also available).
You will get the best deal for your shipping charges with a 12-bottle order, which will also bring you a substantial discount:
- 6 bottles (mixed) get 5% discount
- 12 bottles (mixed) get 10% discount!
- 60 bottles (mixed) get 15% discount!
Our Sampler Packs feature discounts ranging from 10 to 20%!
The shipping charges will appear on the left hand side of the Shopping Cart, including the carrier charges and a modest $6 fee to cover the package and handling costs.
TRANSIT TIME
Average transit times for delivery of your order range from 3 to 7 days for the western states to 5 to 10 days for the eastern states. Hawai and Alsaka are by default sent by 2nd Day Air, as well as MA and PA (for 6 bottles and above).
After you have placed your order, you will receive by email:
- An order confirmation
- A shipping confirmation with a tracking number and a direct link to the Fedex website which allows you to follow the progression of your package through their tracking system. In case of UPS shipments the tracking number contains also letters and you will need to track the package at UPS.com.
