Buy Champagne
For the true purist, there is no "sparkling wine." There is only Champagne. Simultaneously delicate and full of character, Champagnes are everyone's favorite way to say "Congratulations!" Few celebratory occasions would be complete without the popping of at least one ceremonial cork.
If you're looking at a bottle and it reads "Champagne," then you can be sure you're looking at the real thing. The French protect this title fiercely, and will take pretenders to court faster than you can cry, "Napoleon!" Champagne wines are made in the Champagne region of France, using the Champagne method. In other words, Champagne is...well...Champagne.
However, there's no such thing as a "Champagne" grape. Champagne is made from three grapes: Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, and Pinot Meunier. Chardonnay, of course, is white; Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier are black. They range from extra dry (Brut Sauvage) to extremely sweet (Doux).
We realize that for true Champagne aficionados, this information barely scratches the surface. So we invite you to review our Champagne section within the aisles here at The Organic Wine Company. Every bottle of Champagne (and other delicious sparkling and fizzing wines) is made from 100 percent organic grapes, making drinking them a cause for celebration indeed. Thank you for your interest in Champagnes, and for visiting us here at The Organic Wine Company.
