Alexis Sauvion is a very dedicated man. To the Earth, to his vineyard, to a certain idea and ideal of how man needs to find his place and balance among the living organisms, plants and animals, he is supposed to care for. Following Biodynamic principles he has patiently created and developed a well proportioned vineyard (60 acres) producing equally balanced wines. Grapes are always hand picked.
Remarkable Muscadet from a forward thinker of the region. A light and dry wine with pleasant acidic balance. An easy marriage with seafood or pasta.

Bodegas Navarrsotillo -- Made from a special selection of older vines and matured in american and french oak for 4-6 mos, this wine displays deep cherry hues with hints of burgundy. A complex aroma of red fruits with a bit of licorice influence from oak aging, it is excellent and smooth on the palate. A more serious red than the younger and simpler Noemus from this pioneer organic winery in Rioja. Spain deserves some recognition for a long tradition of heart warming wines now elaborated in high tech facilities. The result is convincing. Domaine des Cèdres -- Domaine des Cèdres is located in a small commune in France's Southern Rhône Valley. Often called a "Blessed Region," the Rhône Valley is in a climate that is ideal for grape growing. The vineyard features several plots on hillsides which have a stony, clayey and calcareous soil which are friendly to vines and little else. The stones absorb the hot summer sun and then reflect warmth onto the vines at night. The climate is Mediterranean, although the Mistral, a cold northerly wind that can endure for days on end, is a feature of the Southern Rhône. The dry Mistral winds, however, minimize vine disease and dry out the vineyard if hit with summer rains.Domaine des Cèdres winemaker, Dominique Pons, is a true pioneer of organic viticulture. He has been into organic winemaking for at least 20 years, and was one of the first in the Côtes-du-Rhône AOC to go organic.
